Presenting this original, numbers-matching 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28! This particular 1969 Camaro Z28, produced during the third week of January, is an original, highly-optioned X33 model that has undergone a frame-on restoration with NOS parts, preserving many of its original features. If you’re after a Camaro Z28 that truly reflects GM’s heritage, this is the one!
Under the hood, the DZ302 small block engine stands as one of GM’s most legendary powerplants. This was the engine that powered their SCCA Trans-Am race cars, with a large bore and short stroke that allowed it to rev higher than typical engines, reaching up to 7,000 RPMs with ease! The DZ block is topped with a new-old-stock air cleaner, the correct DZ-stamped carburetor, and the iconic Winters aluminum intake manifold. Paired with the engine is the correct Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, and the proven 12-bolt rear posi, making this Camaro a blast to drive on the streets.
Inside, this 1969 Z28 takes you back in time. The standard black interior is in excellent condition, retaining the original features it came with. The Rosewood steering wheel immediately catches your eye and provides full control of this beast. The correct gauges, including a 7K tachometer, keep you informed as you push the revs. You’ll also find the fuel, oil, battery, and temperature gauges functioning perfectly on the console, along with the correct Hurst shifter with chrome shift knob, sitting atop the Muncie 4-speed. Two standout features of this car’s interior are the factory door buzzer and the original factory radio, both still in great working condition!
