Description
In 1970, Dodge produced just 10,377 high-performance R/T models out of a total of 46,315 Chargers, making this 2-owner, numbers-matching 1970 Charger R/T an exceptionally rare find, originally from California. The car is equipped with all-original, rust-free body panels and factory-original undercoating, preserving its authenticity. The car is powered by a 541 cubic inch engine, delivering impressive power and performance. The original build sheets are included, further documenting the car’s historical significance.

The exterior retains its original B5 Bright Blue color, expertly repainted with high-quality paint to restore its stunning appearance. The vinyl top has been replaced with the correct textured material, and the iconic stripe was added to enhance the aggressive muscle car look. The Charger R/T rides on custom Rally wheels, with 295/50/15 tires in the rear and 265/50/15 in the front, and still features the original Mopar glass.

Inside, the interior has been partially restored, with the seats reupholstered, new carpet, and the upper door caps refinished. The dash pad has been replaced, and the original floormats remain with the car, emphasizing its authenticity. The front seats and other elements maintain the original Bright Blue upholstery and gauges. The factory air conditioning is intact but currently uninstalled. The car also comes with the original snorkel, seat belts, floormats, and air conditioning components.

The underbody has been rebuilt with the original, numbers-matching A-727B TorqueFlite transmission, upgraded to handle the power of the 541 cubic inch engine. It's paired with a TCI Super Streetfighter 10” torque converter and a B&M SFI flexplate. The rear differential is a 8.75” (489 Case) with a 3.91 gear ratio and Sure Grip system for efficient power delivery to the rear wheels. The suspension has been updated with adjustable shocks, lowering the ride height by 2 inches for enhanced handling and a more aggressive stance.

This Charger R/T is an incredible, collectible example that offers a fantastic mix of original charm and modern performance upgrades. It’s in outstanding condition and is an ideal find for any muscle car enthusiast or collector.
